The Four Pillars of Resilience & Radiance
Episode 1: The Four Pillars of Resilience & Radiance
Welcome to the very first episode of Resilient & Radiant! I’m so excited to have you here. In this foundational episode, I walk you through the four pillars that guide my work with women navigating toward their True North. These pillars form the heart of how I support clients to create lasting, embodied transformation—not just quick fixes.
I’ll share:
- What each of the Four Pillars represents
- How they build on each other to create real, sustainable change
- Why the fourth pillar—integration—is often the missing piece in traditional self-development and why it’s so vital for true healing and empowerment
Whether you’re new to this path or deep in your own transformation, this episode will help you ground into the work ahead and inspire you to honor your own resilience and radiant growth.
Mentioned in this episode:
- My coaching framework overview

Speaker B:Hello. Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. This first new episode of my new show. I'm your host, Ellen Wyoming Deloy, and I have been ready, I have been feeling very ready to start this for the past number of weeks, maybe even months at this point, and just haven't been quite sure how to kick off this first episode. So I'm just gonna have it be a quick one just to break the ice and we'll come back. Just a brief introduction, whether you were here before for my old show, Interlight with Ellen, or you're new and you're listening and want to know what this is all about. I work specifically with empathic, sensitive, and capable women. You're the ones who lead from your heart and your heart on your sleeve, and you're giving, and I work for you. If you're ready to start to focus on yourself, if you find that in that work that you do, you find yourself not even last, but, like, so far down the line, you can't see where you are anymore. A lot of the people I serve are the emotional anchors for their families, for their communities. They're thoughtful, intuitive, the one other people rely on. You know, burning at both ends is really hard. And there may be a point where you feel like you've lost the center of who you really are. And that's, that's why I'm here. And so the way I work in the world is serving to help rebuild three key pillars. There's, there's actually four, but the three main ones. And if you've worked with me, if you've been in my group coaching, if we've, if we've met, I've probably talked about healthy boundaries, energy management, and discernment. And they're the, the, the cornerstones of my coaching practice that I brought with me when I started in 2018, because those three things interrelate and they work with one another, and without one, um, you can't implement the other two. And they really help to create a container around us again that helps us recenter around who we are at our center and builds up over time, kind of depending on where your, your roughest edges are. Right. So if the roughest edges is not being able to set a boundary, you're never going to have the energy that you need to be able to develop sort of an intuitive discernment about what you, what you really need. Because you might just be in recovery all the time and might be kind of the dissociated recovery of just like sitting there and vegging out, binge watching Stu just to get through the next day. Right. There's not a lot of energy for yourself in that. Um, it can happen. It can happen in a huge burst of never again, not enough. Not, not any more of this. I've had enough. But yeah, that's one way it can happen. But on another end, if you're, if you're always, if you're setting the boundaries but they're setting, you're setting them in places that continue to drain your energy out and don't refuel you enough, kind of the same situation happens. Um, there's just not enough leftover for, for you. And I think the last one. So intuitive discernment is sometimes it just depends on how you're born and what your body's like and how you operate in your energy. It can be the easiest, most intuitive thing and you know it and you listen to it and it helps guide you to set those healthy placements and kind of manage your time and your energy in a really unique and beautiful way. And sometimes it's that voice that you lost permission to listen to. A lot of times a lot of us might lose that permission to listen to that inner voice when we're in our says, I don't know, 5, 6, 7, 8 years old, kind of when we're starting to develop our will of who we are as kids in the world. Just kind of depending on the conditioning and the family dynamics that we can come from, it can become, it can become challenging to listen to that. And so then we place our, our priorities on external factors of what I should do, who said I should live this way, how I should perform in these roles in these positions. And then we set kind of energy and boundary expectations and different places that may not be exactly in alignment with who we really are. And so those three cornerstones are what I really work through in, in one to one coaching to kind of re establish and find that like, almost like a beacon, like, where is that pulsation coming from? From within. And then let's work from there to start to establish and set what works for you and really works for you in Your. In your life. And then the. The final pillar that I. That I work with is around expansion without overwhelm. Right? So I've been doing this on, going on eight years now. I just finished my seventh year in coaching, if I'm only working with folks on the first three. And this is what I've learned, is that it's really difficult to kind of maintain it over. Over a longer period of time. Yes, we get reset. Yes, we make some steps forward. Yes, we make some improvements, but sometimes it's drastic. The. The level of energy difference that we have and the focus and the clarity that we have. And we may still be living in environments that are supporting the old way of being. And then once released from, you know, this kind of like, container of a nice supportive coaching agreement, they're unsupported. And then how are the changes made manifest and ongoing? What tweaks kind of maintain or does backsliding happen? And then do we fall into these old patterns? And then that can lather, rinse, and repeat many times over the next number of years just based on the energy and the tone that you're still operating from in the world. Because if there's anything that I've learned, we can intellectually understand something that we need to do that we know how to do, that we've read about, that we believe in. But until we physically experience it and go through the physical learning process of that experiential kind of kinesthetic inner knowingness and understanding, there's not a shift inside of us until that happens. And so that's why there's this fourth pillar, which is really focused, once the first three are set in place and established, of how do we continue to embody the change? How do we continue to be supported while we embody change and experience in transforming our lives really, from those places of complete burnout and exhaustion so that we don't go back. Um, oftentimes I will meet people who are in a position like this and they're just like, if I just quit this job and go to this job, it'll get this much better. And I'm like, no. Until you reset internally, what you're operating from, you will cultivate, in many cases, a very similar situation or dynamic just based on what we're used to kind of seeking out. It's. It's almost like a drama response like, this is comfortable, and I know this, and I don't know what to do without this because I don't know how to be not in this experience. And so unintentionally I will create it again until I learn how to shift all the way over. And I'm kind of motioning. You can't see me, obviously, this is a podcast, but I'm motioning between my heart and my solar plexus. Right. So one of the ways that I work a lot with my clients is, is through intuition, a little bit through clairvoyance. Right. So I am a trained clairvoyant. I do energy and psychic readings. They're not the cornerstone of my coaching work. You can just book one of those sessions independently if you'd like, but I bring that in as needed. We will pause and build you an energy tech or we'll do a read. And I will look and I will see where is the energy really stuck or imbalanced? And we can kind of talk through. Because I'm not looking at predicting the future. I don't do that. I also don't look through prescriptive answers because I don't have the answers for my client. What I can see very clearly is what is stuck. And then I can bring that picture up and we can talk through it and, and allow them to select what resonates and then identify how does this energy underneath the story that I'm telling really affect the foundation of my life? And we'll go from there. And I just said, I'm motioning to my solar plexus and heart, and those are my third and fourth chakras. It's about my energy and my will and how I run through things in the world. That's the third chakra, and the fourth is my identity and how I see myself. And if those are out of balance or they've been overstretched or other people are pulling on them for their energy, we're going to be knocked off kilter. And so it's really about how to discern having permission to have our own power within ourselves. And that is. Yeah, that is what is so, so beautiful and what I love working with. And so really, this is. This is for those, those. Those women. If you identify as a woman and you identify with any of this, whether it's from coming from toxic and dysfunctional family systems, families of origin, I have lived through that. I know what. And how to recover from that. And how much guilt is always embedded when you're choosing yourself in that situation. But if you're coming from those places or it's just workplace burnout or communication challenges and issues with, with how you're integrating with, with work or with relationships, those are really the places that I excel in as a coach. Yeah. And so that's. That's about it. That's. Let's. Let's call that good for now. For the first episode of the podcast, some of my hopes for this show is actually to about some of the strategies and skills around boundary setting, around energy management, around discernment, around intuitive development to listen to your own inner voice. We just have different levels of how it shows up in the world and we can cultivate it like a muscle. But in addition to talking about those tips and strategies on the show, I also hope to invite other healers on other amazing practitioners who are helping us come home. There are people I have worked with who have helped me, and we are in process of booking to get recordings done. And if you have heard or have worked with somebody that you have really loved and appreciated and thought that they were just incredible, I would love an introduction. You can send me an email and just let me know who they are so I can reach out to them. Because conversations around this and around the multiple ways that people heal through different practitioners or different modalities is. It's really important. There are so many, many of us who are at both sides of this situation. Both. Sometimes we're at a side where we're ready to help and offer and heal and offer support and create containers for that healing journey. And then sometimes we're at the place of needing to receive that healing and needing to engage with somebody to support us. I have been on both sides of that many times, and I continue to be on both sides of that, sort of just depending on where I'm at in my life. I'm not perfect. I don't have, like I said, I don't have other people's answers, but I have a lot of skill around setting the container to create a space for healing and to investigate and navigate together. And I've done it for myself and I have done it for others. And so I am very excited to keep on this path and continue and to meet others who are also doing it to create sort of a network. Right. I'd love. I'd love to create a wider network and more exposure to those doing this work. So do share your information and contacts of those and then, yeah, that's. That's probably it for today. Lastly, you can go to my website, www.EllenWyoming.com. does anyone even say www anymore? I don't know why. I just did. It feels very dated. But there's a link.
